From 1898, musical highlights from a now-obscure comic opera Olivette.

Enjoy this nearly forgotten but catchy music from Edmond Audran's 1879 three-act comic opera Les noces d'Olivette - or simply "Olivette" as it was known in the English adaptation.
This recording was possibly released in anticipation of the opera's early-1899 New York revival, and carries the brash sound (typical of this period) of a copy produced by pantograph from a 5" diameter master.
