The Musical Moke

Company Columbia Phonograph Company
Cylinder # 30402
Category Vaudeville specialty
Title The Musical Moke
Performed by Len Spencer
Circa 1901-1902
Announcement "Vaudeville specialty, The Musical Moke, for Columbia Phonograph Company."

Len Spencer performs this popular selection from the Columbia Phonograph Company's catalog of vaudeville selections, from which customers – before the days of motion pictures and long before radio or television – could purchase various skits & specialties and then piece together their own home phonograph-based vaudeville entertainment programs.

The odd sounds at the beginning & end of the recording are artifacts from the one-at-a-time record duplicating process from the master cylinder.
